Your Turn!!!
Project: Your Dream Home Landscape Part 4 of 5
DESCRIPTION
Today we begin the critique portion of our unit. You are going to be working with a partner for the next 2 lessons of your Your Dream Home Landscape projects (Partners will be selected by the teacher at the beginning of today's lesson).
For Lesson 4 and Lesson 5 of this unit, you will be working with your partner using two different critique styles. The first style is called Keep it Positive, the second critique style is called Sandwich.
Keep it Positive - For this type of critique, you and your partner are ONLY allowed to us positive comments. The focus of this critique is to communicate to your partner what you like about their project through a positive social interaction. You're working on building up your partner, or strengthening your partner. You're not trying to tear them down, or make them feel bad.
Sandwich - For this type of critique, you and your partner will be critiquing each others art projects using positive comments as well as constructive criticism. The main focus for this style of critique is to help you understand how to use constructive criticism. You are still working on using positive comments in this critique. However, you will also be learning how to help your partner improve their art piece. You will be using the following sequence while you and your partner are critiquing...
Positive Comment (Bread) > Constructive Criticism (Ingredients) > Positive Comment (Bread)
